What is MLS Laser Therapy?

Multiwave Locked System (MLS) Laser Therapy is used in offices around the country and across disciplines to decreased pain, reduce inflammation, and accelerate healing, getting patients results where traditional approaches have failed.

How do cells benefit from MLS Laser Therapy?

Each cell is a complex structure that could theoretically survive, grow, reproduce and die on its own. However, similar cells in our body work together to form the tissues that make up the different organs and other functional material. When a cell is injured by trauma or inflammation, it works to the point of exhaustion, causing the cell to become dormant. Mitochondria in our cells respond to light much like a plant reacts to the sun. What to expect

Initial Visit

You will complete a minimal amount of paperwork that includes a brief history and description of your problem.

A consultation with the doctor will help determine if laser therapy is right for you. If so, an evaluation will be performed.

If you are not a good candidate for laser therapy, we will make the appropriate referral or recommendation.

Evaluation

A physical examination will be performed to determine the source of your pain. This may include orthopedic, neurologic and range of motion testing. X-rays may be taken only if they are necessary.

Treatment

When possible your first treatment will be the same day as your consultation and evaluation.

Treatment will be administered by one of our laser technicians.

Treatment times vary, but generally take less than 30 minutes.

Future appointments will be scheduled according to your doctor's recommendations.

Although MLS Laser Therapy has been approved for clinical use by the FDA, insurance reimbursement is limited at this time. Upon request, we will provide a paid receipt that you can submit to your insurance company for consideration.

How much does it cost?

A customized treatment plan will be recommended by your doctor after taking a brief history and performing a thorough evaluation. In general, treatment costs range between $45-$75 per session depending on the number of areas being treated.
